Visual Figures BHM Display
Overview
While pursuing my undergraduate studies at ERAU, I had the opportunity to create a series of original illustrations for Black History Month, which were displayed in the Mori Hosseini Student Union. This continued a tradition I initiated the year before.
In most BHM displays, the focus is on memorializing prominent figures during slavery or segregation. I felt that it was necessary to to take alternative approach in black history representation and celebrate Black people who have been exceptional in their respective fields and offered innovation.
